TEFAF Maastricht 2026
12–19 March 2026 | MECC Maastricht
For Aronson Antiquairs, March is more than a month in the calendar—it is the culmination of a year’s research, collecting, writing, filming, and careful preparation. TEFAF Maastricht remains the defining moment of our season: a place where connoisseurship meets scholarship, where private discoveries are shared with a global audience, and where the finest works in art and antiques are presented within an unparalleled international context.
At TEFAF 2026, we are proud to present an exceptional and carefully curated selection of 17th- and 18th-century Dutch Delftware. This year’s presentation brings together rare and historically significant objects from private collections alongside singular acquisitions that reflect the depth and vitality of our field.
A special focus of our stand will be The Van Gelder Collection: Apothecary Ceramics from the Seventeenth to the Nineteenth Century. This remarkable group of objects will be exhibited within a dedicated apothecary setting inspired by an 18th-century hospital pharmacy interior, with its distinctive green-blue palette, gilded inscriptions, and rococo ornamentation. By recreating this historical environment, we aim to place the ceramics back into their original cultural and functional context—allowing visitors to experience not only the objects themselves, but the atmosphere in which they once operated.
Alongside our core presentation, we introduce new collaborative works with porcelain floral artist Anna Volkova, whose contemporary porcelain compositions engage in a refined dialogue with historic Delft forms, bridging past and present through material, craftsmanship, and imagination.
Our annual publication, A Cabinet of Discoveries – Selected Works from Private Collections and Singular Acquisitions, accompanies this presentation. The catalogue offers in-depth research, historical context, and newly commissioned photography, reflecting our ongoing commitment to documentation and scholarship. Read more about a collection within; The Meentwijck Collection.
In the weeks leading up to TEFAF, we will share object films, behind-the-scenes insights, and stand preparations through our website, YouTube channel, and Instagram, offering a glimpse into the work that usually remains behind closed doors.
We look forward to welcoming collectors, curators, scholars, and friends to our stand in Maastricht, and to sharing the discoveries that define TEFAF 2026.
