Delft, circa 1730

Painted with a scene of figures in a tavern, one playing a horn, the others drinking, smoking, playing cards and engaged in other merrymaking activities beneath a chandelier suspended from a fringed drapery above, the rim with a border of floral and scroll devices suspended from foliate panels interrupting a dotted trellis diaper band.

Length: 22.4 cm. (8 7/8 in.)
