•D1883. Pair of Blue and White Salt Cellars

Delft, circa 1760

Each marked AP for Anthonij Pennis, owner of De Twee Scheepjes (The Two Little Ships) factory from 1750 to 1770, or for his widow Pennis-Overgaauw from 1770 to 1783

Both modeled in an elaborate rococo style with scrollwork and rocaille, the insides painted with a garden urn filled with sprigs and beside a flowering plant.

Lengths: 9.4 cm. (3.7 in.)

Provenance: The H.C. Bout Collection, Belgium
