The tureen and cover each marked HDK/1 in blue for Hendrick de Koningh Sr., the owner of De Dubbelde Schenkkan (The Double Jug) factory from 1721 to 1762

The tub painted in blue on either side with a flowering vine, the ends with oral sprigs beneath the blue scroll handles, the cover modeled as a at fish with carefully delineated scales and fins, two eyes and an open mouth, the handle formed as an ochre arched cray-fish with details in blue and manganese.

Length: 24 cm. (9.4 in.)

Provenance: The Gaston de Ramaix Collection, Château de Grune, Belgium; hence by descent, and bearing the original collector’s label
