D0006. Embracing Couple Group

Delft, circa 1765

Marked AiH in blue for Jacobus Adriaensz. Halder, the owner of De Grieksche A (The Greek A) Factory from 1764 until 1768

On a manganese and green rococo rocky ground an embracing couple. The man on the left, holding his black hat with yellow ribbon in his hand, wearing a manganese and yellow jacket and cobalt blue trousers. The lady, with a yellow hat, is wearing a manganese skirt and apron, and blue jacket, all items trimmed with yellow and red. Both figues have dark manganese shoes with yellow bows.

Height: 24.5 cm. (9 1/4 in.)
