Marked IW in blue for Jacob Wemmersz. Hoppesteyn, the full owner of Het Moriaenshooft (The Moor’s Head) factory from 1659 until 1671, and succeeded by his widow Jannette Claesdr. van Straten through 1686

Each vase with three cartouches enclosing scenes from the life of Hercules from engravings by Simon Frisius after Antonio Tempesta, set against a broad Chinese Ming-style chrysanthemum scroll band, within further bands of Chinese ornaments.
