•D1754. Set of Six Polychrome Plates

Delft, dated 1754

Each painted in blue, green, manganese, yellow and iron-red with an interior with a checkered tile floor and in the background two windows and tasseled curtains, with several figures, both men and women playing a variety of instruments, dancing or fighting, accompanied by a dog and a cat, all within two concentric lines and an iron-red scrollwork roundel, the rim with a border of floral scrollwork.
