Aronson Antiquairs is moving back to Nieuwe Spiegelstraat 45-b.

During the summer of 2015 Aronson will move out of its current building on Nieuwe Spiegelstraat 39 and relocate about 30 meters (or 30 yards) towards to the Rijksmuseum on the corner of Kerkstraat and Nieuwe Spiegelstraat.

That building, still owned by Aronson, was the gallery of Robert’s grandfather from 1945 through 1969.

Robert was approached by modern art dealer Sid Sand of ‘Public House of Art‘ in October 2014. Sid wanted to rent this landmark and historic building on the Nieuwe Spiegelstraat for his enterprise; a new and fresh take on the modern art business.

“We have noticed such an enormous globalisation over the past decade and we are so often going to our clientele (far) overseas, that when this opportunity arose, we looked at it very seriously.” Aronson believes that Sand’s concept will work very well and it will bring a lot of movement to the Spiegelkwartier, the art district in the center of Amsterdam – right behind the Rijksmuseum.

From approximately November 2015 Aronson will occupy the first, second and third floor of this corner building.
